I watched all three seasons of Silo, and I got almost every guess wrong. Not some of them. Basically all of them.

My routine was pretty predictable. I’d lock in a theory, feel smart for an episode, and then the show would quietly take it away from me. Weirdly, that’s the main reason I kept going.

So here’s my honest Silo review, plus the part you only get here: what the books and comics actually sell for on eBay. Sold listings only. Comps over vibes.

The first half has no spoilers. I’ll tell you when that changes.

What Silo is about, no spoilers

Silo is the Apple TV+ show based on Hugh Howey‘s Wool books. Thousands of people live inside one giant underground silo, and the one we follow is Silo 18.

Nobody goes outside, because everyone’s been told the air will kill you. There’s one rule, and it’s basically the whole show: you don’t ask about it. Say you want to go out and you get your wish, in the worst way. They send you out to wipe the camera lenses clean, and you don’t get far. Everyone else watches it happen on a giant screen.

Juliette is a mechanic, most people call her Jules, and a murder drags her into something way bigger than she signed up for. She keeps pulling on threads that nobody wants pulled. Why does the rule exist? Who’s really running the place? What’s actually out there?

That’s what hooked me. Every person in that silo is stuck on the same question. Is the air really toxic, or is that just the story they were handed? You end up asking it right next to them.

Fair warning: it’s a slow burn

Season one is cramped and quiet on purpose. You learn the levels, the people, the little power plays, the rationing. It’s a murder mystery wrapped around a giant lie, and it is in no hurry.

And I mean no hurry. If you need something blowing up every few minutes, you could tap out around episode three. I almost did.

What kept me in was a pattern. Every time I got restless, a reveal would land and the last hour suddenly clicked. The show seems to know exactly how far it can stretch you.

It also gets bigger across the three seasons. New places, new people, a totally different scale. I’m not saying how, because that’s the fun part. And it looks great the whole way through: dim, grimy, a little rusty. You believe these people have been stuck down there for generations.

So who’s it for? If you love mystery box stories and you’ve got some patience, you’ll be fine. If you want action up front, probably not your show.

Spoilers from here down

Haven’t finished it? Scroll down to the collector section. The next few paragraphs give things away.

Season one. Jules refuses to quit until the truth about the outside finally cracks open. The second I learned other silos exist, my brain flipped.

Season two. Jules leaves her home in Silo 18 and heads for Silo 17. The trip is full of thousands of dead bodies, and I was not ready for that. It made the scale of what happened feel real instead of abstract. Meanwhile, a rebellion is building back in Silo 18, with the safeguard gas protocol hanging over everybody like a threat.

Season three. It cranks everything up again. The memory wipe. Daniel and Helen. Silo 1. Troy. Drones and gas. So many pieces are moving at the same time.

I had a confident theory for every one of those storylines, and every one was wrong. I mean that as a compliment. The mystery is easily the best thing about this show.

Where it dragged

My one real complaint is the pacing. A few episodes felt like the show was treading water. There’s a scene that should have wrapped up in about four minutes and instead runs twelve. I get that it’s building tension, but I caught myself checking my phone more than once.

Would I cut it? No. But it costs the show points.

The mood stays dark and tense from start to finish, and if you can, watch it with the lights off. It hits harder.

Is it worth the collector hunt? Silo eBay sold prices

One rule before any numbers. I only use sold listings, never asking prices. Asking prices are just people dreaming out loud.

For the show itself, I couldn’t find an official Blu-ray or 4K release, so the books and the comic are where the action is.

The Wool Deluxe is a shelf piece, not a flip

The one most people go after is the Wool Deluxe Collector’s Edition hardcover. Cover price is around $40. I pulled seven recent sold listings from August and September 2026:

ItemEdition / GradeSold priceMonth sold
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$37.10Aug to Sep 2026
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$33.19Aug to Sep 2026
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$26.20Aug to Sep 2026
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$25.23Aug to Sep 2026
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$21.75Aug to Sep 2026
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$21.40Aug to Sep 2026
Wool Deluxe Collector’s EditionHardcover$21.12Aug to Sep 2026

The median lands at $25.23. I tossed two sales: a UK sale loaded with shipping and import fees, and a best offer where the final price stayed hidden. Bottom line, this is a book you buy to own, not to resell. You’ll likely pay less than cover.

The real money is in signed sets and graded comics

Signed Broken Binding sets of Wool, Shift and Dust sold from $180 in July up to $325 in September 2026. The median was about $225. That’s a completely different tier from the $25 Deluxe.

The comic is its own thing. A Wool #1 from Cryptozoic (2014) with the Darwyn Cooke cover, graded CGC 9.8, sold for $179.99 in July. The 1B variant, also 9.8, sold for $175 in October. Raw issues #5 and #6 went for $6.99 each. It’s a tiny sample, so don’t treat it as gospel.

Why the timing matters

Season four premieres July 9, 2027. It’s the final season, and it adapts Dust. A Dust Deluxe edition is listed for late 2026, but nothing has sold yet, so there are no comps to show. I’ll do a follow up when it ships, so keep an eye on Market Watch.

How I get these eBay numbers

Sold listings only, never asking prices. I match the edition or grade, look at the last 5 to 10 sales, and drop the outliers, like sales loaded with international fees or best offers with a hidden final price. Everything above comes from eBay sold listings I checked from July through October 2026, and I’ll update the post when new sales change the picture. Last updated October 16, 2026.

Quick answers about Silo

Is Silo worth watching?

Yes, if you like mystery box stories and have some patience. I give it a 7.7 out of 10. The pacing costs it points and the mystery earns them back. If you want action first, skip it.

Is Silo based on a book?

Yes. It’s based on the Wool books by Hugh Howey. Season 4 adapts Dust, the last of the Wool, Shift and Dust set.

When does Silo season 4 premiere?

Season 4 premieres July 9, 2027, and it’s the final season.

Is Silo too slow?

It’s a slow burn. A scene that could have been four minutes can run twelve, and I almost tapped out around episode three. But the show drops a reveal whenever it starts to drag.

How much is the Wool Deluxe Collector’s Edition worth?

Seven recent eBay sold listings from August and September 2026 had a median of $25.23, from $21.12 up to $37.10. Cover price is about $40, so it sells under cover.

How much do signed Wool, Shift and Dust sets sell for?

Signed Broken Binding sets sold from $180 in July 2026 up to $325 in September 2026, with a median of about $225.

How much is the Wool #1 comic worth?

A Wool #1 (Cryptozoic, 2014) with the Darwyn Cooke cover in CGC 9.8 sold for $179.99 in July 2026. The #1B variant in CGC 9.8 sold for $175 in October 2026. Raw issues #5 and #6 sold for $6.99 each. That’s a small sample.

Does Silo have a Blu-ray or 4K release?

As of October 2026 I couldn’t find an official Blu-ray or 4K release for Silo, so the books and the comic are the main collectibles.

My Silo review score: 7.7 out of 10

The pacing costs it. The mystery earns it back.

If you like mystery box stories and you’ve got patience, start it tonight. If you want action first, skip it. And if you’re collecting, don’t buy the Deluxe expecting a profit. Signed sets and graded comics are the real play, and Dust is the one to watch.
